We begin by booking you in for a free consultation with a member of our highly dedicated team, which will include an initial physical assessment to help us create a bespoke programme and set goals specifically tailored for you, taking into account current fitness levels, current or previous injuries and limitations. Moving forward, you will then be guided through an entire programme of fitness and wellbeing development, achieving goals, breaking down barriers and improving your overall lifestyle.

Group Exercise

At Fitness and Wellbeing Development we also provide exercise classes in our fitness studio space. We limit the groups to 10-12 people, ensuring that everyone gets a personal experience. We feel this is something that is often lost at commercial gyms, and large group classes. We pride ourselves on our ability to make exercise fun and affordable, and giving people a much more individual experience.

Our current list of classes includes

  • FWD HIIT – A 30 Minute workout using a variety of bodyweight movements that will improve cardiovascular fitness, increased speed and burn maximum calories. (not advised for exercise beginners).
  • FWD Circuits – Circuit training uses a wide variety of equipment to target every muscle group, meaning the class can provide toning, endurance and increased strength at the same time. The variety also keeps the class interesting and enjoyable.
  • FWD Box – Classes include a strength/cardio workout, boxing techniques, padwork, timed stations, music and lots of fun!
  • FWD Tabata – It’s four minutes of high-intensity training, alternating between 20s of max training followed by a 10s rest for a total of eight rounds. These workouts are fast-paced and fun and burn up lots of calories.
  • Barre Fitness -Barre Fitness is a workout like no other! Develop strong, lean muscles by using mainly ballet techniques but also pilates and yoga.  All abilities and ages are welcome, whether you have grown up at the barre or never set foot in a dance studio.
  • Pilates – Pilates is a series of exercises which aim to activate the deep postural muscles, improving posture and enhancing mobility.
  • Foundation Training – Do you suffer from back pain? shoulder and neck ache? sore knees and hips? Or do you want to improve your posture? Reduce your risk of injury? Relaxing and Sports Massage
Postural Assessment

Treat yourself to a full body Relaxing massage which will help you unwind and release all the built up tension in your body and mind. This massage is a perfect to release tension if you have a lot on your mind or suffer from minor muscle tightness. Benefits include less muscle tension, improved circulation, feeling like you have a new body and you are likely to get the best night’s sleep after.

Sports massage is a deep treatment which helps you recover fast from training or injuries or general muscle tightness. This might cover the full body or only specific problem areas, depending on what you need.

“If you are not assessing, you’re guessing” (Paul Chek) Postural assessment assures that you get the most out of your sports massage as after the assessment I will know exactly what the route of the problem is rather than just treating the symptoms. You will benefit from a postural assessment if you: – suffer from back pain or other constant aches – have bad posture – are injured

Nutrition is fast becoming a very important part of peoples lives these days, with people taking more care with what they choose to put into their bodies. At Fitness and Wellbeing Development, we understand the importance of correct nutrition, and offer nutrition plans and coaching. We make it much easier, and less stressful when it comes to choosing the right foods, for managing your health and wellbeing.
